| March 26th 2003 we left to Hong Kong from San Francisco (nice 14 hour flight), it was an odd time to go. At the time China, specifically Hong Kong had a serious break out of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) which by this time was killing about 2 people a day in Hong Kong. Then to add to it, it was also the time when we started our war with Iraq that year which toe world opposed to. So as you can see it was a great time to be an American in Hong Kong. I ended up going with my sister and we had a great time thought. Had some outstanding Peking Duck, I just loved it, it was so good. We stayed in Hong Kong from March 26 till April 1st. From Honk Kong we flew to Bangkok where we spent 6 days in Bangkok before having to fly back to Hong Kong only to catch a flight back to San Francisco. Bangkok was hot as hell, even at night it only went down to 90 degree and humid as hell. Bangkok was a really nice place and the people were really friendly.
