Shanghai
Shanghai was the first city we visited in China. We stayed at a nice hotel and saw the Temple of the Jade Buddha, The Yu Yuan Gardens, Hooters, and The People's Garden. We spent many nights out and abut the townmeeting new people. Our favorite place for this was at Xian Tian Di Mall, a bar called The Paradise Bar. We met our good friend Jack who was a really fun bar tender, along with Gin our waitress and the band.
This Was a cool building by the Yanghze River. The river runs through Shanghai. At night this building lights up and it looks like a Christmas ornament.
 
 
On our first day we walked around the city and these are some pictures of the city.

People's park is a big park that is really nice.

The people would fish in the lily pond. But the odd thing is it looked like they only caught small fish like the size of a gold fish.

This was some cool wall type thing that has really intricate work. This is on the way to the Jade Buddha which you are not allowed to take pictures of.

After the Temple of the Jade Buddha we went to Hooters which was close to the Temple.

This is Jane. She was our waitress at hooters. She picked her name fromt he expression "Plain Jane".
This was another waitress who talked with us a lot along with Jane. Her name is Fiona and she picked her name from Shrek 2.

In a lot of the water they had tons of fish. Some parts where just jammed pack with fish. They had food you could buy and when people fed , wow it was fish hopping out of the water in huge packs on top of each other.

These were some really nice chairs. The had great detail on the side. Very old, and very cool.

This is Jack, the bartender we meet at the Paradise bar. He was a very cool guy who liked to joke around just like us. He spoke pretty good english so we hung out with him 3 nights in a row (2 of those he missed class the next morning).
This is Gin, she was a supervisor at the Paradise bar. Really nice girl who I ended up having a drinking competition with, we did 35 shots, one glass of 5, 3 of 10. After that she started saying I had to drink more than her since I was a guy...I considered that a win.
